Function
Providing high quality is important to our customer. This means that they produce their end products at a high level. They ensure that the machinery is in order and strive to ensure that all desired conditions are present for optimal performance. And you will help our customer with that. Together with 4 experienced colleagues, you are responsible for all aspects of maintenance and technical support. Quite a challenge, but with your technical insight, energy and fresh ideas we have every confidence in it. When our customer asked your future direct colleague (also a maintenance engineer) why working as a maintenance engineer at this company is so special, the answer was not long in coming. In your role you are an indispensable link within the ‘production house’. You can safely say that as a maintenance technician you are the foundation within production. Call it a building block. The production employees are dependent on properly functioning machines. And you’re going to take care of that. Together with your direct colleagues, you are responsible for the preventive maintenance of the machine park, you resolve malfunctions adequately and with your technical insight you participate in development and improvement projects to prepare the machine park for the future. In concrete terms, you will work on the following activities:

You will play a role in carrying out planned preventive maintenance on the machines;

You will play a role in carrying out general maintenance on the machines;

Observing, diagnosing and solving malfunctions related to the various production processes and machines;

You work on a day shift, but we also use a consignment service schedule for following up on malfunctions outside office hours;

You participate in development and improvement projects;

You work according to the set environmental and safety standards;

You make (un)solicited proposals for improvements based on professional insights;

Are these proposals approved? Then you proceed to implementing these proposals and other modifications.
Requirements
We are looking for an all-rounder, a go-getter and someone who can be deployed flexibly. You can easily switch between different activities and maintain an overview. You are independent, but not an individualist. You enjoy working in a team. Your own initiative to improve processes or activities is appreciated and you will gain confidence in this. We think it is important that you think about your work and learn from the activities you undertake. The necessary technical insight is therefore required. You will have to deal with quality issues. You don’t turn your back on it. You tackle this with both hands and you bring decisiveness. A little perfectionism isn’t bad; you immediately see if something is wrong and respond quickly.
We further ask:

at least a completed MBO education in the field of electrical engineering, possibly supplemented with another technical education;

a basic knowledge of technology, for example mechanics, electrical engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.
